Bark Side Graphics is excited to offer hyper-realistic digital portrait commissions of both pets and people. All portraits are hand-drawn digitally on an iPad Pro using a stylus pen and done through the design software ‘Procreate.’ Each piece is created with care, technical precision, and attention to detail, reflecting over a decade of dedicated artistic practice and formal arts training.
Meet The Artist
Hi, I’m Tianna, co-owner of the business and the artist behind our portrait commissions. Visual art has been a lifelong passion of mine, with a current focus on digital art. I am multifaceted and have experience creating hyper-realistic portraits, animation, cartoons, illustration, character design, and graphic design. I’ve been drawing since I was young and began taking my craft seriously around the age of 12, steadily advancing my skills through consistent practice and formal training as an arts major in secondary school and post-secondary animation courses. Throughout the span of over a decade of consistency and dedication, my technique, style, and attention to detail have evolved into a refined, hyper-realistic approach, with each portrait created to capture realism, personality, and presence.
How Commissions Work
1. Select Your Portrait Type
Choose the type of portrait you'd like by referencing the commission pricing tier.
2. Submit The Commission Request Form
Complete the submission form with your email address, high-quality reference photo(s), any desired add-ons, and any additional details or questions.
3. Confirmation Email
You’ll receive an email shortly after submission confirming we’ve received your request and addressing any questions.
4. Pricing Confirmation & Deposit
Once the portrait type and details are confirmed, you’ll receive an email with a secure payment link for the 50% non-refundable booking deposit.
5. Creation Begins
Work on your portrait begins once the deposit has been received.
6. Progress Updates
Watermarked progress images will be shared throughout the process so you can stay up to date.
7. Final Balance
Once the portrait is complete, a watermarked preview will be sent along with a link to pay the remaining 50% balance.
8. Final Delivery
After the final payment is received, the completed high-resolution digital file will be sent to your email.

Deposit & Final Payment
A 50% non-refundable booking deposit is required to confirm all portrait commissions. The remaining balance is due upon completion and must be paid before final high-resolution artwork is delivered.

Turnaround times typically take 2-3 weeks depending on the portrait type, detail, complexity and current workload

Reference Photos
High-quality reference photos are essential for creating accurate, hyper-realistic portraits. The final artwork can only be as detailed as the reference provided. -Image must be high resolution, well-lit, and in focus -Image must clearly show the subject without obstruction -Image must not be blurry, have low-lighting or use heavy filters
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Will a physical print of my portrait be mailed to me?
. Our portraits are drawn digitally and are emailed to you as a JPEG or PNG file to download upon completion. Physical prints are not automatically included but are available to order upon request for an additional $15 CAD each (tax and shipping incl). If you'd like to order a physical print of your portrait, simply select this option in the add-ons section of the commission form. *Please note that we only offer shipping within Canada at this time.*
Do I need to pay a deposit?
. There is a 50% non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure your commission and confirm your place in our schedule. The deposit is applied toward the final cost of your portrait, with the remaining balance due upon completion and before final high-resolution files are delivered. Requiring a deposit allows us to reserve dedicated time for your commission, while also helping prevent last-minute cancellations once the portrait process has already begun.
What happens if I need to cancel my commission?
. Commissions may be cancelled with a full refund only if work has not yet begun. Once the commission process has started, the booking deposit becomes non-refundable, though you may still choose to cancel. You can find the full version of our cancellation policy here.
How long will it take for my portrait to be done?
. Turnaround time depends on how many commissions are scheduled ahead of yours, as commission slots are limited and may close once filled. Once your deposit is received, portraits are typically completed within up to two weeks. More detailed or complex commissions, such as those involving multiple subjects, may require additional time. All timelines, including any extended turnaround, will be clearly communicated before your commission is confirmed and payment is collected.
What kind of reference photos do you need?
. Exactly what you'd like drawn. The photo(s) should be high-resolution, clear, and well-lit. The final artwork can only be as detailed as the reference provided. If your photos are not suitable, we may request alternatives before starting.
Can I order a T-Shirt with my portrait on it?
. Yes! T-shirts featuring your commissioned portrait are available to order at an additional $45 CAD each (tax and shipping incl.). If you’d like your artwork turned into wearable merch, simply select this option in the add-ons section of the commission form. *Please note that we only offer shipping within Canada at this time.*
